  • Is the Ceremony indoors or out?
    We are planning to have an outdoor ceremony but it is all up to the weather. If we have to switch we will move it indoors.
  • Is the Ceremony and Reception all at the same place?
    Yes! No traveling needed! Everything will be hosted on the Kacena Farms property!
  • Are there going to be Halloween activities?
    YES! We will have a Trick-Or-Treat trail for the kids, Halloween movies on the projector, games, and possibly a hayrack ride! As well as amazing Halloween songs to boogie to!
  • Where will we stay?
    We have rooms blocked off at the Cobblestone Inn and Suites in Vinton but feel free to book in Cedar Rapids as well. We are looking at possibly getting a shuttle service.
  • Dress Code
    Because it is Halloween, we wanted to do something fun but stay classy so we chose to do a Masquerade ball. With this you can choose to wear a mask. It is not required but will be so magical if everyone participated!! Kids CAN wear their Halloween costumes. 🤗
  • Colors?
    We do not have a set color for guest to wear but do prefer if you could wear black. ( It will be fine if you choose not to).
  • Are children welcome?
    Of course! We do not want to take a holiday away from your kids. There will be fun activites for the kiddos as well as children meals and snacks. We do, however, request that most children are gone by 9 PM.
  • What type of food will be served?
    We will have a choice of pork loin or chicken, a salad, cheesy potato, veggie and a roll. If you do have any dietary restrictions please let us know in the RSVP.
  • What time should I arrive for the Ceremony?
    If it was stated on your invitation that you are invited to the Ceremony, please arrive between 4:00 and 4:15. We will start the ceremony prompt at 4:30.
  • Is there a time gap between Wedding and Reception?
    Yes, we will have a happy hour from 5-6. This is where you can bring your children, or walk for yourself through the trick or treat trail or play games.
  • Where can I visit if I am from out of town?
    We have so many things to do in Cedar Rapids! If you are a family member or friend traveling to the city, please let us know and we are happy to guide you to all the great places!
  • Am I allowed to take photos at the wedding?
    We know that taking pictures is a HUGE part of creating a memory. However, we do wish to have the ceremony be "unplugged". This means no pictures during the ceremony. Feel free to take as many pictures as you want during the rest of the evening!!
  • Where can I see updates if any?
    On the RSVP we will have your email address. We will kindly send out an email if there are any changes to our wedding.
  • If I have more questions about the wedding, who can I contact?
    Please feel free to message Jesse or I anytime between now and the wedding!
  • Am I allowed to bring a plus one?
    Yes, you are free to bring a plus one. Please not in the RSVP if you are bringing a plus one as well as children.
